Learn more about me
Who is Andrew Ojwang Blackburn?
I was born in Uganda in 1973. During my very early years, in the reign of Idi Amin Dada, I became an orphan. I’d spent some time at Sanyu Babies Home in Kampala when my adoptive parents found me.
I’m happily married for the second time with five gorgeous children. My two eldest daughters were the fruit of my first marriage and my three youngest, a girl and two boys, the blessings of the second.
I’ve got a full-time job that’s leading me on a path to becoming a fully certified project manager.
This digital real estate is a side gig, to make changes I’ve thought about doing for years.
Being a deep thinker is a fantastic gift that I continuously spend my efforts honing.
“When you know your reason why then the how is easy”. This saying resonated with me and pushed me to find out my why. Having taken control of my life while simultaneously letting go, I’m focusing on making important decisions to live the most fulfilling experience I could ever imagine.
I see a future where we’re happy, time is plentiful, and everything is in harmony. Joy, laughter, fun and excitement abound.
By using the tools at our disposal correctly, we have the chance to free ourselves up, creating the opportunity to focus on meaningful pursuits that allow us to realise these aspirations. I think it’s possible for anyone who has access to them.
You can build a business with the right guidance from scratch, and that’s what I’m doing right now.
Being the embodiment of my brand and culture, everything I do represents this.
Expect inspiration, creativity, humour and quality. The space I’m creating is called a personal media platform, from which everything I do online emanates.
Background and Thoughts
Ugandan born, Kenyan raised and English bred.
My dad was English; my mum was Kenyan. My sister and I were adopted in the 70’s and had a fantastic childhood with our belated parents; God rest their souls.
During my early teens, we moved to England, then to Lesotho and back again. I’ve been established here in the UK since ’89.
Playing football for the majority of my childhood was the best thing ever. I loved it with a passion, and nothing else comes close. I wanted to become a professional footballer and manage the Kenyan national football team.
The failures in my adult life to reach my goals and ambitions have haunted me since I was 22 years old. Thankfully I’ve reached the point where I was able to embrace the past and decided to change the future. It was the “aha” moment I needed, so I let go.
The rest is history, so I hope like you’ve learned a teeny weeny bit about me and are starting to feel more comfortable with what who this strange guy you’ve never heard of is.
In the last six months, I feel I’ve achieved more than I have since 1996. BIG statement, I know – tap into your “flow”, and things just start happening moment by moment, reality starts bending to your will and plans. It’s incredible.
Right now it’s just me – the team will grow when the time is right 😀
